Cambodia Flights Up 11% in March

PHNOM PENH: In March of 2023, Cambodia recorded 2,464 inbound and outbound flights containing 313,067 passengers: an 11% increase from February’s numbers.

Secretary of State for Civil Aviation Sin Chanseryvutha told EAC news that in March, a total of 26 airlines operated passenger flights between Cambodia and 11 other countries including South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Laos, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Myanmar and Vietnam. Of the airlines he said that eight companies handled the bulk of the passenger flights.

The largest number of flights was between Cambodia and Thailand, totalling 890 flights carrying 103,378 passengers. Flights to and from China came in second with 410 flights totalling 41,064 passengers.

Numbers of travellers are up from February during which Cambodia had 2,134 flights and 283,091 passengers; and January with 2,101 flights and 275,891 passengers.
